I believe with the right resources at hand any mom can give her child the best start in life
Welcome! I’m Tamara
Just like you, I’m a mom who wants the best for her child.
The problem is that parenting does not come with a manual. It’s not always clear what that “best” actually is. And as if that wasn’t enough, you and I are the first generation of moms who need to figure out how to raise our kids in this massively progressive digital age.
Add your everyday responsibilities – work, family, friends, your health! – on top of that and you might struggle to find the right answers and focus on what’s important.
“If you bungle raising your children, I don’t think whatever else you do matters very much.”
– Jackie Kennedy.
That’s where I swoop in with the support and encouragement you need throughout your parenting journey.
I share science and research-based parenting tips on how to raise a (healthy, happy and supported!) whole child.
About Me
I’m a mother to an amazing 3-year-old boy. Every day he tests my patience, motivates me to learn more and proves to me – no age is too early to have a strong personality.
My husband and I currently live in Northern California but we are originally from Armenia. Our son was born here in the United States. We speak Armenian and Russian at home. And our boy learns English at pre-school. That’s right, we are raising a trilingual child! More on that on the blog.
I’d worked in international education up until my son was born specializing in cultural differences and diversity.

- I’m 50% Armenian, 25% Russian and 25% Greek. I was born in Uzbekistan, lived in Armenia from 5 to 25, moved to England to study Business and finally relocated to the United States. And all that blends into who I am as a person and as a parent.
- No one from my immediate family lives near me – my parents and my youngest sister are in Armenia, my oldest sister is in England. So every year I ask Santa for a Christmas day with my family.
- play poker with a group of friends every Friday. This has been going on for 5 years. And while my friends and I think that we are getting better at poker, occasional trips to Vegas prove that we still pretty much suck.
- I traveled to China for work and lived there for 2 months. While there I couldn’t figure out whether I hated China or loved China. I did make some pretty amazing friends though.
- I did a tandem skydiving from 15,000 feet at Monterey Bay, California. Everything leading to it and the jump itself was torture (I still can’t believe I did it!). But that was one of the most incredible and unforgettable experiences in my life. Parenting is pretty much the same thing – you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into up until the last minute when the baby is in your hands.
- Burgundy is my favorite color and pomegranate is the fruit I love the most. Besides, pomegranate is the national symbol of Armenia. It represents fertility, new life, and abundance. Armenia was the first country to adopt Christianity as state religion even before Romans did. And in Christian symbolism pomegranate signifies Christ’s shed blood representing his glorious Resurrection. So all this pretty much describes who I am, a Christian Armenian mom who likes all burgundy :).
