  • water
  • avocado oil
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • 6 tbsps salted butter room temperature
  • cup cookie butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • chocolate Eggs
  • pretzel sticks

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  • In a large bowl, add the eggs, brownie mix, avocado oil, and water. Mix or whisk until incorporated.
1 box of brownie mix, water, avocado oil, 2 eggs
  • Add the chocolate chips and fold them in.
    ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, hanging it over the sides. Pour the chocolate mixture into the pan, ensure it’s evenly distributed, and bake according to the box instructions.
  • After baking, set the pan aside to cool.
  • Once cooled, use a round cookie cutter to cut circle-shaped brownies.
  • Set the brownie circles aside for now.
  • In a separate bowl, add the salted butter and cookie butter. Mix them together for about 2-3 minutes until combined and fluffy.
6 tbsps salted butter, ⅓ cup cookie butter
  • Add the powdered sugar and heavy whipping cream.
1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • Mix for about a minute until smooth.
  • Break some pretzel sticks in half.
  • Get a piping bag. Cut a hole large enough so the piping tip will fit halfway through. Fill it with our cookie butter buttercream mixture and secure the ends.
  • Let’s start building a chocolate nest! Pipe the buttercream on top of the round brownie to form a circle.
  • Add the pretzel sticks at the bottom of the cream, then the mini chocolate eggs in the empty space on top. Add more pretzels in between the eggs.

Notes

  • High Quality For High Deliciousness: Opt for chocolate chips with high cocoa content to get the best fudgy flavor for your brownies. You can also use high-quality brownie mixes like Ghirardelli to build a delicious foundation for your dessert.
  • Don’t Overmix: Overmixing the batter may introduce too much air to it, which can lead to cakey brownies instead of fudgy ones. For best results, just mix until the batter ingredients are combined.
  • Hanging By The Moment: Allowing the parchment paper to hang at the sides of the baking dish makes removal and clean-up easier later on.
  • Don’t Overbake: To get fudgy brownies, it’s best not to overbake them. You can start checking for doneness a few minutes before the baking time finishes. Stick a toothpick into the center of the brownies; you want it to come out with just a few mildly moist crumbs.
