- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tbsp peppermint extract
- red icing (optional)
- green icing (optional)
- holiday sprinkles (optional)
Get Recipe Ingredients
Pour the chocolate chips into a large bowl. Heat your heavy cream on the stove at medium heat until steaming and pour over the chocolate.
3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Add the peppermint extract to the mixture and stir until combined.
1 tbsp peppermint extract
Place the truffle mixture into the fridge for at least 2 hours or until semi-firm.
Scoop about 1 ½ tbsp of the chocolate mixture. Using the palms of your hands, roll the mixture into a round ball.
Place each ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat until you run out of the truffle mixture.
Decorate with icing and sprinkles in any design you choose for a festive look.

Place the balls in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy or gift.
- You can use any type of melting chocolate you like, just keep in mind that milk or white chocolate will be very sweet.
- These can be decorated however you like including regular sprinkles, dipped in cocoa powder, or decorative sugar.
