Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 1/2 cup white chocolate melts
  • 2-3 tbsp dark chocolate melts

Instructions

  • Place white chocolate melts into a heat-proof bowl suitable for a double boiler. Heat water in another container and place the heat-proof bowl on top. Stir the chocolate until it's fully melted.
Alternatively, place the white chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 1-2 minutes in 20-second intervals. Stir every 20 seconds until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
1 1/2 cup white chocolate melts
  • Wash and dry the strawberries. Gently dip each strawberry into the melted white chocolate leaving a trace of white chocolate for the bottom of the ghost.
    1 cup strawberries
  • Line up the white chocolate-covered strawberries on a platter covered with wax paper or parchment paper. Let them sit at room temperature to harden. For hot months (above 70°F or 20°C), place in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes.
  • Now the same way melt the dark chocolate.
    2-3 tbsp dark chocolate melts
  • Dip a toothpick into the dark chocolate.
  • Draw the eyes, nose, and mouth of a ghost on each strawberry with dark chocolate.
  • When done decorating, let the chocolate harden at room temperature. For hot months (above 70°F or 20°C), place your spooky Halloween strawberries in the fridge for another half hour.
  • After the dark chocolate has hardened, your Halloween chocolate-covered strawberry ghosts are ready to be enjoyed!
Arrange them on a festive platter and serve them at your Halloween gathering or as a fun snack.
Watch as your guests are delighted by these cute and fun treats.

Notes

TIP! Pat strawberries with a paper towel after washing. Make sure your strawberries are completely dry before dipping them in chocolate to prevent clumping.
TIP #2! If you place your spooky strawberries in the fridge to harden the chocolate let them sit at room temperature for 15-30 minutes before serving as chocolate tastes better when not cold.
