Ingredients

  • 4-5 dried porcini mushrooms
  • 3-4 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika, ketchup, and teriyaki sauce to serve

Instructions

  • Chop mushrooms randomly, grind into powder with a coffee grinder.
    4-5 dried porcini mushrooms
  • Place the mushroom powder in a bowl, add flour, salt, and spices, and whisk to combine.
3-4 tbsp flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp smoked paprika, ketchup, and teriyaki sauce
  • Separate the egg white and pour it into a bowl with the oil.
1 egg white, 2 tbsp avocado oil
  •  Add water, one spoonful at a time, so that the dough is soft and not sticky.
    1 tbsp water
  • Place dough balls on a silicone mat, or use parchment paper if you don’t have one.
  • Bake the chips in a 374°F oven for about 5-7 minutes.
  • While the chips are warm, transfer them to a rolling pin to give them a crinkle and just cool them on a rack.
  • Add a few drops of ketchup and teriyaki sauce to a serving plate. Using a fork, draw spooky patterns. Arrange the chips over the pattern and sprinkle them with paprika through a sieve.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

    • Choose Quality Dried Mushrooms: Select firm, aromatic porcini for the best flavor.
    • Don’t Overwork the Dough: Too much kneading can make the chips dense instead of crisp.
    • Crisp While Warm: Shape the crinkles while the chips are still hot for the perfect texture.
    • Customize the Flavor: Add cayenne for heat, or a sprinkle of Parmesan for extra umami.
